PUBLIC relations consultant Mark Wall is running the Edinburgh Marathon in May to raise money for Taunton Association for the Homeless.

Mark, who completed the Paris Marathon earlier this year in 3hours 40minutes, said: “Apparently Edinburgh is all downhill, so I don’t see there being a big problem, although people tell me Scotland is quite cold.

“I wanted to raise money for TAH as I know what a superb job it does, not just in providing much-needed accommodation, but also providing training and the help people need to get their independence back.”

Daryll Northover, manager of TAH hostel Lindley House, said: “The pressure in society is growing and homelessness is becoming a bigger and bigger problem, especially among young people.

“The squeeze on public finances is also affecting us, so we’re very grateful to Mark and many others like him who give their time, effort and hard-earned cash to support our work.”
