A MAP of Wiveliscombe and surrounding area highlighting popular walking routes and information will be permanently displayed on the notice board in The Square.
The panel is a lasting reminder of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year and was put together by the parish council and Wivey Walkers.
The walking group helped the town become the first in Somerset to achieve Walkers are Welcome status in 2009.
An illustrated walking guide has also been published, named Wandering in Wiveliscombe, with the aim of allowing visitors to delve into the town’s history. The book is available in the community office.
