RAMBLERS, walkers and strollers from Hooper Tours donated £110 to the County Gazette-backed Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment appeal to equip the Beacon Centre cancer unit at Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital.
Other donations to the SURE appeal include £110 from Marilyn and David Baker, and £88 from Gill Derbyshire. Collections of 5p coins: £153.85, Beacon Centre; £47.50, Jean Manley and friends at the Ashill Inn; £28, Dorothy Priddle, family and friends; £25.50, Hard of Hearing Club; £22.55, Godwin Williams; and £10, Andrew Potter.
Collection boxes: £42.12, Esso Garage, Wellington Road, Taunton; £32.50, The Old Sale Rooms, Wellington; £24.70, One Stop Shop, Galmington, £24.57, Rumwell Farm Shop, £24.45, Teares newsagents, Wellington; and £15.50, Sainsbury’s.
The total raised since the Gazette linked up with SURE now stands at £321,454.
