EMPLOYERS across the county came to Taunton this week to help celebrate National Apprenticeship Week.

Dozens of representatives from major organisations attended the County Gazette-run Apprentice Event at Somerset County Cricket Club.

The event, sponsored by Somerset College and Somerset Skills & Learning, attracted hundreds of visitors.

Sharron Kington, County Gazette recruitment representative, said: “We were delighted to be involved in such a prestigious event with a great line-up of employers.

“We know there are lots of great opportunities for apprentices in Somerset, and this event put some of those considering their next step in contact with the employers to help them decide what comes next.”
