THE number of adoptions in Somerset this year has risen again for the third time in a row.
Somerset County Council revealed that for the financial year in 2012/13 a number of 51 children were successfully adopted.
That’s 13 more than the previous year.
In December last year, the Government announced plans to overhaul the adoption system and increase the number and speed of adoptions.
