JANE Austen’s tale of hapless romance, Pride and Prejudice, popularised for millions thanks to Colin Firth’s wet-shirted Mr Darcy, comes to Yeovil’s Octagon Theatre on Thursday, September 5.

It comes reinvented by the celebrated Chapterhouse Theatre Company, who are well-known for their all-out attention to detail, from their costumes to their characterisation.

Critics have deemed it “another winning production” from the acting group with the live cast unconventionally giving it a musical accompaniment.

Adapted from Austen by Laura Turner, the company’s performance starts at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 5, and is its latest work, following smash-hits with another Austen favourite, Sense and Sensibility, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Tickets are just £13.50, concessions £12, and a family saver is £42. Footlights and groups of 10+ are £10. Call the Octagon’s box office to book on 01935-422884, by visiting www.octagon-theatre.co.uk, or by dropping into the theatre box office.
