Halcon by election in Taunton today
POLLING stations in the by election to choose a new Taunton Deane Council member for Halcon, in Taunton, are open from 7am to 10pm today (Thursday, October 3).
People can vote at All Saints Church Hall, Roman Road; the community hall, Newton Road; or the Methodist Church, Severn Drive.
The four candidates are Dorothy Baker (UKIP), Anna Lynch (Labour), Marcus Palmer (Conservative) and Federica Smith (LibDem).
The election was called following the resignation due to ill health of former Taunton Deane Mayor Steve Brooks (LibDem).
