A WOMAN was pinned to the ground by two men during an attack in Taunton.

The incident happened in Corkscrew Lane at around 8pm on Friday, September 20. Details have only just been released by police.

The victim was cycling home when a man wearing a navy smart suit and short cropped hair flagged her down using a torch and began looking at her bike.

He asked her where she was going and she told him home and that she was coming from work.

The woman then saw a second man standing nearby who was scruffy with dark messy hair and was wearing dirty Wellington boots.

The first man then pushed her to the floor and pinned her there. The woman kicked her legs out and the second man held her legs by the ankles.

A vehicle then came around the corner and the two men fled in a light blue BMW which was parked in the lane. The driver of the vehicle asked if the woman was OK before driving off.

Police want to hear from any witnesses to the incident or the driver of the vehicle. Anyone with information should call 101.
