CHILDREN in Stogumber are enjoying playing on new equipment thanks to a contribution from West Somerset Council.
The new play equipment includes a train, slide, bouncy cockerel, see-saw, swings and bouncy spring seat.
The contribution was possible through developers’ Section 106 contributions.
Cllr David Westcott, lead member for community, said: “It is a great sheltered location for children to play on an excellent range of equipment.
“The Stogumber Play Area Committee is to be congratulated on all of its hard work in brining the project to fruition.”
Lorraine Tribe, Stogumber play area committee chairman said: “We would like to say a big thank you for the donation, which has been used to provide some much needed play equipment.
“It’s so good to see and hear the children all playing in a safe area.”
