A PACK of Cubs is helping shoppers in the run-up to Christmas by packing up their shopping at a Somerset garden centre.

Starting this Saturday (December 14), Bishops Lydeard Oak Cub Pack will be at Monkton Elm Garden and Pet Centre assisting customers with their bag packing.

Norma Moore, general manager at the garden centre in Monkton Heathfield, said: “We are delighted the cubs are helping our customers with their bag packing again this year.

“This is the 11th year they’ve been on-site to assist our visitors during the yuletide period.”

The cubs will be offering to pack bags on Saturday and Sunday and the following weekend  from 10am to 4pm.

Norma added: “The youngsters will be collecting money to help send the cubs to the organisation’s Annual Camp next year.”
