THE owner of Orchard Mobility in Taunton, is celebrating after making it into the Guinness World Record book.

The firm’s ‘stretch limousine’ mobility scooter, dubbed the Limomobiliser, is 2.9 metres long and, to get into the record books, staff had to drive on-board passengers 100 metres both ways.

Anwar Watson said: “We made the scooter as a bit of fun originally for the British managing director of Electric Mobility who wanted a longer scooter but they ended up stretching it a bit longer than expected.”

The scooter is now based in the Orchard Mobility showroom.
