WEST Somerset is bracing itself ahead of more stormy weather and high tides tomorrow, (Saturday 1) and councillors are taking no precautions.

A wind direction reversal is set to cause the high tides at around 7.25am and 7.50pm and Somerset County Council is working with agencies to make sure people are prepared.

There will be temporary road closures in Blue Anchor, Minehead and Dunster along the seafront tomorrow.

Sandbags are available at West Quay and the Rotary Club has offered their services.

Door knocking is now underway through a range of agencies along seafronts. The floodgate has been put in place in Watchet and more sandbags are being delivered to Watchet and Porlock Weir.
