TRAFFIC is building up coming from the town centre towards the railway station.
TAUNTON Deane Council has released this statement:
"Traffic lights are in operation in Station Road, Taunton as work gets under way to repair a collapsed sewer. The three-way lights are at the Belvedere Road junction.
The brick-built Wessex Water sewer is some two metres below the road surface and repair work is likely to be finished between 4pm and 6pm on July 18 2014.
The traffic lights directly affect access to both The Deane House, headquarters of Taunton Deane Borough Council, and Taunton swimming pool. The work could also affect journey times to Taunton Station and access to businesses in the area.
Drivers are being asked to be patient while the essential repairs are carried out and to leave extra time for their journeys."
