TWO members of the public helped a woman down from the bridge before she was taken to hospital.
TWO good Samaritans helped police talk to a woman who was standing on a bridge over the M5 this evening (October 16).
Police were called to Haydon Lane, Taunton, at 5.12pm where two members of the public had helped talk the woman down from the bridge.
The bridge, from Poplar Road onwards, and the M5 northbound carriageway were temporarily closed, but all roads are now clear.
The woman was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital after the incident.
Police said they feared for the woman's welfare during the incident.
