PUPILS from St Andrew's Church School, Taunton, gathered at St Andrew’s Church for their harvest festival service.
This year the school supported Somerset Emergency Volunteers and pupils raised a staggering £1,420 through various class sponsored events.
A representative from Somerset Emergency Volunteers attended the service and shared a video with the pupils which highlighted the problems caused by the extensive flooding earlier this year.
The classes then shared the various sponsored activities that have been run in school and presented their cheques to Stuart Smith, from Somerset Emergency Volunteers.
The money raised will be used to support a project to rebuild play areas in the villages worse affected by the flooding.
