SOMERSET County Council is still inviting people to share their views on plans to transform the former St Augustine of Canterbury School site in Taunton into a special school, which will increase the capacity of Selworthy Special School.
Selworthy School is also keen to host community facilities which can be used by the local community, which could include allotments, a community garden, a café or even the use of sport facilities.
A spokesperson for Somerset County Council told the County Gazette: “Local people were invited to come along to Sky College in Taunton on Saturday, November 15, to share their views on what community facilities should be available at the former St Augustine’s site.
“There are no formal plans yet but this event gave the local community the chance to have their say on what facilities they would like to see.
“People can still give their views on a feedback form by December 15 by contacting Debbie Reed on email at dreed@somerset.gov.uk or by phoning 01823 355804.
