Taunton's Eden florist is celebrating this week after their blooming brilliant displays had amazing success at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Last year's UK RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year, Eden's Lisa Fowler was awarded another gold medal. Charlotte Murrant topped her Gold medal last year to be given best in show and crowned the UK's 'Young Florist of the Year 2015'

They were competing in both the junior and senior sections of the RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year competition. Both ladies beat off stiff competition at the South West Regional Heats in Cornwall back in February to earn a place at the prestigious Flower Show.

For this final stage of the competition the 12 florists were asked to enter the world of Alice in Wonderland in celebration of its 150th Anniversary by designing and creating a ‘Fantasy Floral Tree;’ inspired by the weird and wonderful Tulgey Wood of Alice in Wonderland. The exhibits were judged in line with 4 key criteria; idea, colour, composition and technique.

Charlotte:- ‘I am shocked and delighted to be named RHS Young Florist of the Year as the talent this year was extremely high and I was up against some very stiff competition.

"This is the third year I have entered the competition achieving silver in 2011 and a gold last year, it really is third time lucky and I am absolutely thrilled to get best in show and to gain recognition for my floristry skills at the world famous show is an incredible honour."

Lisa:- "The last year has been amazing and then to get another gold this year is incredible. The brief this year was really challenging and stressful, but worth it in the end!"

Jane Cowling, owner of Eden - "After last year's amazing success I can't believe they have both done it again! It has reinforced the fact that Lisa and Charlotte are at the top of their game. I couldn't be more proud of them. Taunton has two hugely talented florists!"

You can see their exhibits in Eden's St. James Street studio.
