Two scouts from Waltham Forest are in search of fresh blood to empower members across the borough.
Nathan Hillier-Daines, of Chingford Avenue, Chingford, and Thomas Smith, of Stephenson Road, Walthamstow, have been specially selected to find the first youth commissioner for the Waltham Forest South Scouts group.
Both 16-year-olds will join eight other scouts from across north east London to find someone aged between 18 and 25 who will empower young scouts and make an impact in the local community.
They were selected based on their personal statements and their youth commissioner selection process plan.
Nathan, who attends Chingford Foundation School in Nevin Drive, said: "I am incredibly happy to have been chosen to help scouting search for a youth commissioner, and to help scouting in Waltham Forest South grow bigger and better".
The commissioners will be announced in December.
