There have been traffic troubles on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton this afternoon after two crashes.
The road is partially blocked with queueing traffic due to a two vehicles crash near Stonegallows (The Rumwell Inn).
A fire appliance from Taunton was sent to the scene following a call from police. A fire service spokesman said that nobody was trapped following the crash, with the crews helping make the scene safe.
Two "walking wounded" were treated at the scene by paramedics, with police carrying out traffic duties.
The two casualties were taken to hospital via road ambulance.
The problems were exacerbated by a collision on the same stretch of road near to Bradford -on-Tone.
Both crashes are affecting motorists travelling between Wellington and Taunton.
