POLICE are investigating after a young woman was killed in a crash on a Hampshire road.
The 22-year-old woman was driving a blue Volkswagen Beetle on the B3055 in Brockenhurst when the car left the road at the right hand bend near the entrance of the Roundhill Campsite.
No one else was in the car, which collided with a tree between 1am and 1.30am on Saturday morning.
A short time later, a passing member of the public contacted the emergency services. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still trying to contact her next of kin and are not in a position to identify the woman.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information should call Totton Police Station on 101 quoting Operation Whiteboard.
