An attempt to beat the current world record for the most tandem skydives in 24 hours is taking place at Dunkeswell Airfield, but more jumpers are needed.

Organisers are hoping to attract enough people to gain an entry in the Guinness Book of Records if they can beat the current highest total of 403 at the event on Monday, June 20.

Jason Farrant, of organisers Skydive Buzz, said three of the world's fastest skydiving planes will be used, with 15,000 feet jumps from sunrise to sunset.

He said: "As long as people are reasonably fit and healthy, they can do a skydive.”

Skydive held the record of 281 jumps in June 2014, although it has since been beaten, so will be looking to get the record back.
