WORK is progressing on a block of 40 apartments on the site of a former nightclub close to Taunton Railway Station.
Kingston's, on Kingston Road, Taunton, has long since closed and its replacement, Rileys snooker club was more recently demolished after closing in November 2012. In its distant past, the premises also used to be a cinema.
No 1 Kingston Road Ltd is now putting up 29 one-bedroom and 11 two-bed flats.
The former Rileys snooker club before it was knocked down.
The previous uses of the old building led to numerous complaints about noise, alcohol abuse and the impact on security of surrounding properties.
