A CHARITY cricket match in aid of Parkinson's UK took place in Lynton, raising more than £450 for the charity.

On Friday, August 26, the Milton-Dibble XI took on the Barney XI at the picturesque cricket ground the Valley of the Rocks ground to battle it out.

The West Somerset teams played out two twenty-over innings during the competitive match.

The Barney XI elected to bat first, setting a target of 174-3, with important contributions from Tom Stokes and James Richards.

The Milton-Dibble XI came back revitalised from a quick cup of tea, a catch from the young James Geen secured the wicket of captain Luke Milton and left the Milton XI needing three runs from the final ball. They finished with 154 in their final innings.

Player of the match was awarded to Ali McWhirterter.
