The Scouts spent a couple of hours canoeing (thanks to Watchet Sea Scouts for the loan of the equipment and Ian Sedgbeer for instructing) and looking for crabs in the rock pools. Then onto the train to Minehead and stayed in Alcombe Methodist Church Hall. Sunday was spent in Butlins where the Scouts enjoyed the swimming pools and rides.

Well done to all those that survived the County Centenary Camp. Everyone had a great time with a wide variety of activities and many new friendships were made or renewed.

The World Jamboree Contingents were camping together at the Centenary Camp for the last time before the World Jamboree so their equipment had a real testing. The other contingent from St Kitts & Nevis, joining Somerset's contingent, are having a problem raising the money to come to the UK. An appeal has been made to all of us in Somerset to help raise this money and our District Executive has pledged £500, which has been gratefully received. Currently it looks like £1,500 per person is needed.
