THIS term, a cast of eight senior students from Wellington School will present Showstoppers, a classy, revue-style evening of 28 Perfect Numbers from musicals as diverse as Wicked and West Side Story, Chicago and Mary Poppins, Sweeney Todd and Spamalot.
The show's musical director, Andrew Trewhella said: "The numbers were chosen purely for their greatness as songs. Some of them, and the shows they come from, will be more familiar than others and there may well be a delightful discovery or two along the way. The evening really does offer something for everyone and if, like me, you love musicals, then this show will be an absolute feast."
The show takes place in Great Hall at 8pm for two nights, June 29 and 30. Adult tickets cost £5 and students go free, but will still need a seat allocating to them. Tickets are available by calling the Music Department Box Office hotline on 07783-317333 or you can e-mail your request to music@wellington-school.org.uk
