SOMERSET College, in Taunton, celebrated 150 years of full time arts education with a fashion show extravaganza.
Last Saturday (June 16) saw the college put on a host of catwalk and exhibition entertainment.
Visitors were greeted with drinks in the Genesis Centre reception, before viewing an exhibition that featured some of the highlights of the college's 150-year history.
A marquee seating 500 people was used to host the glittering catwalk show.
Among the visiting guests were industry specialists, including graphics agencies, fashion and textile designers, college staff, and Taunton Mayor, Ken Hayward.
Both foundation and degree level students were showing off their final collections, which were all well received with a crowd capturing the event on cameras and mobile phones.
Alison Scott, the college principal, took to the stage after the performance to deliver an up beat speech on the success of the college, she added: "Designer Jeff Banks claimed that having Somerset College on your CV will guarantee you an interview."
Mrs Scott also thanked Plymouth University for their sponsorship, and a special mention was given to Steve Langford, fashion and textiles lecturer, for his dedication and passion.
