RAMBLERS in Somerset are invited to record the state of local footpaths as part of Use Your Paths Week (June 23 - July 1).
Guided walks will be taking place across the country, free and open to all.
The Ramblers' Association has added a new dimension to this event by challenging those who take part to register the paths they walk on a specially created website - click on the link below.
Last year the national walking charity launched the Use Your Paths Challenge to get a clear picture of the popularity and condition of footpaths.
All you have to do is choose a grid square on the OS Map in your chosen area, walk all the paths in that square, then record your achievements on the website.
The Use Your Paths Challenge ends in September.
