A BRING-and-Buy event at Trull Memorial Hall raised more than £1,000 at its latest sale.
A total of £1.233 was raised at the 13th event of its kind at the hall, which took place on Saturday, January 7.
Each year, two charities are chosen to benefit from the proceeds.
This year, the charities are the Himalayan Education and Development Nepal, which helps children with sight impairments and the Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance.
The annual events started in 2004 after the tsunami and have so far raised £20,723 for different causes.
Organiser Paul Leeder thanked all involved.
“I would like to thank the people of Trull and Staplehay, local businesses for their generous support over the years, and everybody who have worked so hard to help us reach this magnificent amount of money,” he said.
