ONE poorly little girl or boy will be getting an extra-special wig, courtesy of the kindness of Kirsty Grandfield, who works in the Revenues department at Sedgemoor District Council.
Kirsty has been growing her hair for nearly two years to donate the length of approx 12"-14" to the Little Princess Trust.
This charity provides real hair wigs to both boys and girls undergoing chemotherapy or hair loss from alopecia and they have recently been in the position to provide funding into research into childhood cancers.
Kirsty’s glorious auburn locks were chopped off on Monday, January 23.

She said: “I have been growing my hair for a couple of years so it is going to be a major change for me, but I am more than happy to have it chopped off if it can help a child going through such a traumatic time."
