THROUGHOUT 2016 Blake Veterinary Group raised a grand total of £1,472 for its chosen charity, The Cinnamon Trust.

The money was raised over the year in a variety of ways from charity collection pots on reception at both practices to a book stall at the Bridgwater branch.

The highlight of the year that helped to raise even more money and awareness of the chosen charity was the practice open day held in September.

Katie Webb from Blake Veterinarian Group said: "Not only did the practice help to raise a significant amount of money for the charity but also helped to raise awareness and provide people with information they work they carry out."

The Cinnamon Trust works with elderly people to help preserve their relationship with they pets, working with them to help care for the animal and overcome any difficulties that may arise.

They have a national fostering service should someone face a spell in hospital they can be assured their pets will be in the capable hand of the cinnamon trust volunteers.

The Cinnamon Trust also provides long term care for pets whose owners have died or moved to residential accommodation which will not accept pets.
