A MAN was freed from his car by firefighters after a crash in Seven Ash. 

Avon and Somerset Police were called at 12.10pm today (March 15) to reports of a crash on the A358 in Seven Ash near Kennel Lane near the Old Stags Head. 

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at 12.10pm to reports of a crash on the A358 in Seven Ash near Kennel Lane.

"Three vehicles were involved in the crash and one vehicle was found by officers on its side.

"A man was trapped in the vehicle and is currently being freed by firefighters on site.

"The road was blocked in both directions but reopened just before 1pm. 

"We do not yet know if anyone was injured in the crash."

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 12.12pm to reports of a crash on Seven Ash Lane. 

"Two appliances from Taunton were mobilised to reports of a crash.

"On arrival crews discovered a two vehicle crash with one male casualty still in one vehicle.

"The casualty self extricated from the vehicle and was left in the hands of the Ambulance service.

"Crews made the vehicles safe."

Traffic remains slow in the area.
