A MEMBER of the team at Roadchef’s Taunton Deane Motorway Service Area (MSA) on the M5 has been recognised for outstanding customer service after celebrating her 35th anniversary at the site.

Tracey Kearney joined Roadchef as a member of the company’s seasonal team in 1982, before quickly being promoted as a site supervisor.

She went on to work in the retail side of the business, managing the site’s WHSmith store, before working her way to the position of retail operations manager.

However, her real passion was working among her team and she immersed herself as a unit manager, continuing to hold this position.

Tracey said: “It has been a joy to be part of the Roadchef team for so long.

“It is a fantastic place to work and receiving this award makes it all the better.”

Simon Turl, CEO of Roadchef, who presented Tracey with her Long Service Award, added: “Roadchef would be not the company it is without integral characters like Tracey. Her passion and drive to adapt her skills make her fully deserving of this award. She is a shining example of the diverse and rewarding career Roadchef can offer.”
