Middle-aged man denies rape and cruelty charges
A MIDDLE-aged man has denied a string of sexual and cruelty offences during an appearance at Taunton Crown Court.
Nigel Fenwick, 53, pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape in 2015 and two further sexual offences involving assault which allegedly took place in Minehead in 2015.
He also denied eight offences of cruelty against children he is accused of committing between 2005 and 2015.
Mr Fenwick, of Chilton Close, Berkshire, was released on conditional bail after Judge David Ticehurst adjourned the case for a trial starting on January 15 next year and likely to last five to seven days.
