A GROUP of talented bakers raised £100 for a disability charity by baking tasty treats for a nationwide bakesale.

Staff from Nurse Plus on Victoria Street in Taunton set up cake stands last week and invited residents to come along and sample their sweet treats in return for a donation to their charity of choice, Leonard Cheshire.

One baker contributed to the day with a homemade cake, decorated with a clover featuring colours visible to the visually impaired.

Pamela Bruce, nurse plus managing director, said: “We’ve always taken fundraising efforts here at Nurse Plus very seriously and our latest achievement drives us to continue the hard work.

“We’re delighted to be supporting Leonard Cheshire and that the money raised will go towards supporting disabled people across the local community and helping them to achieve their full potential.”
