FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a fire at a Carhampton property in the early hours.
Crews from Minehead were called out to Hillary Close in Carhampton at 4.13am this morning (Monday, August 21).
On arrival they found smoke issuing from an upstairs boiler room and upon investigation found a small fire in the cavity wall behind an electrical installation.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Crews dealt with the fire by cutting away the plasterboard. The cause of the fire was accidental.
"A total of four breathing apparatus were used, as well as a gas detection monitor. Duty of care was left with the occupier."
