THE Asda store in Highbridge has now re-opened.
A bomb disposal team carried out a controlled explosion after an unattended item was discovered at the store.
The store had been closed at 7am.
The explosion was reported to have taken place at 10.30am.

AN Asda store has closed as "a precautionary measure" this morning.
Avon and Somerset Police have tweeted a message saying the action has been taken following the discovery of an "unattended item" at the Caxton Road store.
A force spokesman said: "Officers are currently on scene assisting them.
"We'd like to thank the public for their patience and understanding."
