A MAN has been arrested in connection with the unexplained death of a woman in a Taunton park.
An investigation has launched after police were called to concerns raised over the welfare of a woman in Lyngford Park at 8am yesterday (Sunday, February 18).
Officers found the body of a woman and put a police cordon in place.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said her death is being treated as ‘unexplained’.
The spokesman said: “We have arrested a man in his 50s from the Taunton area in connection with the death of a woman in Lyngford Park yesterday morning.
“A post mortem is to be held today to confirm the cause of death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
“Police enquiries are continuing into the incident.”
