THE sun was shining as guests sampled local delights at the Gin, Fizz and Food Festival at Woodlands Castle.
Charley Elizabeth Events hosted this wonderful afternoon that was filled with food, live music, talks and demonstrations, lawn games and much more.
A range of talks and demonstrations entertained guests throughout the afternoon, including ‘The History of Gin’ with Julie Heap, ‘Experimenting with gin’ with Karen Skerratt, ‘Food & Wine Paring’ with Martin Straus and many more.
Gin-lovers could sample and buy gins from many different suppliers. Wicked Wolf Exmoor Gin, Granny Garbutt’s Gin and Pinkster Gin were just some of the fabulous tipples on offer.
Music from Matt Hudson, Marnie, Sadie Horler and Mitchel & Vincent accompanied the afternoon and created a wonderful atmosphere in the sunny grounds of Woodlands Castle, Taunton.
Organiser, Charley Elizabeth Torr, commented: “It was a pleasure to organise this fantastic new festival at Woodlands Castle. The event was a great success and we had a range of amazingly talented suppliers. The feedback has been fantastic, the atmosphere on the day was fabulous and it was simply a pleasure to provide this wonderful new event in Taunton.
“Here at Charley Elizabeth Events we are passionate about establishing inspiring and fun events in the South West. We are particularly proud to support locally based suppliers as we strive to promote local talent, of which we have so much here in Somerset.”
