ROBBERS who tried to target an ATM machine at a pharmacy in Taunton fortunately left empty handed.
Police were called to Staplegrove Pharmacy, Livingstone Way, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Two men had entered the store in what the owner said looked like a 'professional' job.
Max Punni, owner of the independent pharmacy, said: "The robbers broke in and tried to get to the ATM machine.
"It looked like a professional job. They left the place tidy and didn't touch anything else.
"Luckily they were unsuccessful, it looks like they were interrupted."

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the two men were at the pharmacy for around an hour.
The spokesman added: "We were called to a report of a burglary at Staplegrove Pharmacy in Livingstone Way, Taunton.
"At about 12.40am on Sunday, June 17, two men entered the premises and attempted to access the ATM in the store.
"After they failed they left the scene at about 1.40am."

Looking on the bright side of the situation, Mr Punni left the men a little treat in case they tried to return to 'finish the job'.
He feared the men may have started a job they intended to finish at a later date, so he didn't want them to be disappointed when they would arrive to find an empty cash machine.
The note left to the robbers.
He left them a kettle, some mugs, two cakes and a packet of biscuits.
Alongside the treats was a note reading: "Dear burglars, we're very sorry you were interrupted while trying to rob our ATM machine.
"We'd like to thank you for a very professional effort and for nor leaving any mess.
"When you return, sadly there will be no cash, however, please help yourself to a cup of tea and a biscuit.
"These are hard times after all and we would not want you to feel disappointed.
"We wish you better luck in your future endeavours."
