A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a cliff near Watchet.
Emergency services responded to the incident near Watchet Harbour.
The casualty called for help to the coastguard to say he had fallen and was injured at around 10.40am today (June 19).
He has been airlifted to South Mead Hospital in Bristol by the coastguard helicopter.

Luke Lamber, spokesman for Watchet Coastguard, said: "HM Coastguard Watchet was tasked straight away to deal with the casualty as Splash Point, where the incident happened, is close to our station.
"We were there within minutes and we located the casualty who is a local man.
"Due to his severe injuries head wounds and suspected neck, back and spinal injuries we requested our coastguard helicopter to transfer him to South Mead hospital in Bristol."

Mr Lamber added: "The lifeboats were asked to come assist us if we needed it but they held back away from the scene in case we needed them to assist as they were not needed at the time."
