FIREFIGHTERS from Taunton have been called to tackle their second combine harvester fire in three days.

Crews were sent to the latest blaze in a field at Ash Road, Stoke St Mary, at 3.36pm today (Tuesday).

The combine and two acres of standing crop were severely damaged in the incident.

Crews remained on site for an hour after putting out the fire to damp down hotspots.
