KING'S College served up a generous helping of culture to its pupils, adding a culinary twist to its annual European Day of Languages. During lunchtime on the September 26, pupils and staff were treated to a broad selection of European dishes and deserts, enhanced by bilingual menus and information panels that offered detailed explanations of international culinary traditions.
King's catering staff produced a mouth-watering array of cuisine, including various varieties of German sausage, paella, chicken pacha, schnitzel, apple strudel and black forest gateau.
The event was well timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the German Exchange at King's College, with a group of 11 boys and girls, aged 15 to 17, spending a week at the school as boarders.
The German pupils travelled all the way from a town close to Leipzig to experience life at King's and gain a taste of British culture.
