THE afternoon whist drive was held at Bishopswood hall organised by Mary and Stuart Govier, MC was Cliff Wright and there were 13 tables in play.
Top score in the room was Ruth Sharland with the score 178. Ladies: Betty Blackmore, Janet Giles, Gwen Case, Kingsley Harris, Happy Wright, Mabel Rossiter, Joan cowan, Edna Lane. Men: Jeffrey, Jo Rogers, Mary Govier, Owen Cleverdon, Diana Lowe, Tony Fackrell, Norman Case, Cliff Hallett.
Draw winners: Helen Strutt, Jo Hammond, Betty Blackmore, Ginger, Olive Gillard, Nic Atherton, Jim May, Norman Case, Rosemary Cleverdon, Rosemary Goff.
The next evening whist drive is on Friday, October 26 at 7.45pm.
The tea dance held on Sunday, October 14 was a great success, dancers came from as far as Minehead, Dorchester and Yeovil to dance and listen to Len Jackman on the keyboard. The proceeds of £330 has been sent to SURE Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton. Grateful thanks to everyone who supported this event or gave donations.
