A TAUNTON nursing home has received a letter from King Charles III thanking residents for their condolences after the death of the Queen.

The community at Hamilton Park Nursing Home sent letters to the Royal Family after Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral Castle in September.

Weeks later, the residents were pleased to receive a letter from Buckingham Palace thanking them for their kind messages, signed Charles R.

The letter came with a picture of young Charles with the Queen.

It says: “It was so very kind of you to send me such a wonderfully generous message following the death of my beloved mother.

“Your most thoughtful words are enormously comforting, and I cannot tell you how deeply they are appreciated at this time of immense sorrow.”

A spokesperson for Sentimental Care Group, which manages the nursing home, said: “The residents of Hamilton Park Nursing Home sent their condolences in forms of letters to the royal family after learning of Her Majesty The Queen’s passing.

“It was to their great delight a few weeks later they had received a letter back from our King thanking them for their support.”

Hamilton Park Nursing Home is located on Hamilton Road. It was rated ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission in June after being taken on by new management.
