HELD on August 4 to August 5, amongst the stunning backdrop of Vivary Park in the centre of town, is the Taunton Flower Show.
You don’t need to be a gardening enthusiast to appreciate the many delights the show has to offer, though, if you are, there’s plenty for those with green fingers.
New for 2023 is the Artisan Village, where local designers, artists, makers and food traders can come and showcase their handmade and locally sourced products.
Our fantastic caterers, located around the show, will help you keep the hunger at bay with a wide range of refreshments including vegan, gluten free and vegetarian produce. Alternatively, bring your own picnic or sample one of our array of stalls selling sweet treats.
Horticultural enthusiasts will have plenty to discover inside the Plant Village and Floral Marquee where you can pick up advice from experts on hand, do a spot of shopping, admire the fantastic floral displays and gardens as well as find a real bargain.
There’s also an abundance of stands selling the best garden accessories, gadgets and machinery.
Pop along to vote for your favourite designer garden, built especially for the show; these beautiful plots are a great way of showcasing what can be achieved in a small space and built in a matter of days!
As a great way of keeping the whole family entertained, the arena has something for everyone. For those wanting a taste of the action, watch The BMX Show to delight and amaze visitors.
The Brass Junkies, along with other musical acts, will be entertaining audiences from the live music stage in the Artisan village.
A great spot for the family to visit is the Children’s Area with an abundance of entertainment and activities to keep the little ones amused, or pop along to the Honey Show in the Floral Marquee for a chance to find the Queen Bee, taste some honey and watch beekeeping demonstrations.
The Competition Marquee is also a fantastic draw and always extremely popular with large displays of photography, baking, craftwork, home grown fruit, vegetables and floral arrangements.
