DEVON & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have responded to reports of a vehicle fire in Frome.

On Sunday, June 11, at around 11.51pm, crews from Frome and Warminster were called out to the scene of the fire in the Waverly Close area.

On arrival, one vehicle was found alight, involving the engine bay and the front of the van on a public highway.

Crew members managed to extinguish the fire using two breathing apparatus,  one hose reel jet, one thermal image camera, one 51mm covering jet and small tools.

A spokesperson from the fire service said: "The cause of the fire was accidental."

The case was fully closed by 7.05am on Monday, June 12.
