POLICE officers from the Somerton and Wincanton Neighbourhood Policing team have seized a vehicle which was registered off road.
The vehicle was seized because it was on the highway.
Speaking yesterday, a South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: "This afternoon PCSOs from the Somerton & Wincanton Neighbourhood team seized a vehicle from the highway that was registered off road.
"It is important to note that we can only take action when these vehicles are on the highway.
"If you witness a vehicle that you know to have no MOT/tax/insurance being driven on a public highway, please call 999 to give us the best chance of witnessing the offence.
"Equally, if a vehicle is parked on a highway without the appropriate documents, please use our no-emergency line (101) to make us aware."
