NORTH Somerset Council's waste and parking consultations have now closed.

Over 9,000 responses were received on the consultation regarding a possible new approach to black bin collections, whilst over 5,500 responses were made on the consultation about proposed changes to parking charges.

A North Somerset Council spokesperson said: "Thank you to everyone who took part in our recent waste and parking consultations. Both consultations are closed.

"We received more than 9,000 responses to our consultation about a possible new approach to black bin collections, and over 5,500 responses to our consultation about proposed changes to parking charges.

"More than 200 people also attended one of our 12 in-person drop-in sessions.

"All your feedback will be analysed and considered, along with technical and expert advice, and will be reported to our Executive.

"They'll balance the needs of different towns, residents, businesses and visitors, along with other key issues including the financial pressures we face, and make a decision this summer whether to progress these proposals."
