Catcott village will open over 15 private gardens for a special event this summer.
The Catcott Village Open Gardens event takes place on June 23, from 12.30pm to 6pm.
Located on the Polden Hills of Somerset, the village boasts stunning views of both the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills.
This one-day event features private gardens that vary in size from enormous estates to carefully tended pocket-sized spaces.
The village is expecting to welcome 200 to 300 visitors.
People always note the diverse range of gardening styles and the array of lovingly nurtured plants.
Alongside exploring the gardens, visitors can take advantage of ample parking, refreshments, and a bacon butty service available from 12.30pm to 2pm.
Vintage limousines and free black taxis will be on hand for transport around the village.
The sight of scarecrows around the village may also add an unexpected twist to the tour.
Additional activities include a children's treasure hunt, the sale of school wood-fired pizzas (times are yet to be confirmed), plant sales, the offer of cream teas, and the opportunity to climb St Peters Church Tower, albeit for an extra fee.
Most gardens are dog-friendly, as indicated on the pamphlet route map.
Entry costs £8 per adult, with children admitted free.
Entry wristbands can be purchased with a credit card at the start point, which is the Village Hall (TA7 9HA).
The proceeds from this quintessentially Somerset village event will go towards supporting future community activities.
