BUCKLAND St Mary Primary School Running Club had its first race outing at the Combe 2k fun run.

William Hine was the first boy home for the club, with Katie Lee the first girl.

Meanwhile, Tesco Ilminster Community Champion Nicky De'Ath visited the school to present the children with two cheques for £50.

The cash will enable the Environment Club to buy new gardening tools and plants for their pond, while the Let's Get Cooking Club will also be getting some new equipment.
